Get free Cercanias tickets – free if Renfe train ticket is purchased ahead of time before travelling from Atocha. At Atocha train station, follow the sign for Cercanias trains and the machine is located just before the barriers to access Cercanias train, cannot miss it. Staffs at the station were not very helpful.

Accommodation
Booking.com and AirBnB
All accommodations we stayed were family friendly, very clean and kitchen sufficiently equipped if don’t eat out. They are all in nice and safe neighbourhoods with great access to transits, restaurants and shopping. Good communications with hosts as well.
It is advisable to make reservations way ahead of time to ensure availability for chosen dates as they get booked very fast especially during peak seasons.
Transits
Before travelling we purchased all train tickets online fromRenfe; all attractions tickets online from their respective websites (click on attractions for direct link).
Car Rental
Car was reserved via Expedia 4 months in advance to avoid high rates and also to confirm availability.
Mobile Data
Prepaid SIM card for 10.00€ – 20 GB data with calls and SMS included. Used all day everyday for Google Map while driving, checking places of interests, purchasing tickets etc., watching YouTube. Great reception everywhere, even in the remotest places. Lots of data still leftover by the end of our trip.
